Pleno · Refund Policy

Fourteen daysto change your mind.

Effective 24 September 2026 · Last updated 25 September 2026

  • Bought directly? Ask within 14 days of buying and you get all of it back, for any reason or none.
  • The refund goes to the card or account you paid with.
  • Once it is refunded, the licence key stops working. The free version of Pleno carries on, and your captures are yours either way.
  • Bought on the Mac App Store? Apple handles those refunds, not us.

1. Who sells it to you

Direct purchases of Plenoare sold by our reseller, Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for every order. Paddle takes the payment, sends the receipt and invoice, charges any sales tax or VAT, and issues refunds. It is why “Paddle” or “PADDLE.NET” is what appears on your statement.

2. The fourteen days

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason. You do not have to give one. That holds wherever you live, and it covers every tier — Personal, Team and Agency.

After 14 days, we will still look at a request — if Pleno does not work for you and we cannot fix it, for example — but a refund is then at our discretion rather than a promise.

If the law where you live gives you a longer or wider right to cancel, you have that right too. Nothing on this page reduces it.

3. How to ask

  • Use the link in your Paddle receipt email, or look up your order at paddle.net.
  • Or write to us at hello@addsaltandco.com from the address you bought with, and we will ask Paddle to issue it.

Paddle issues an approved refund within 14 days of approving it. How soon it shows on your statement then depends on your bank.

4. What happens to your key

A refund ends the licence. Every browser using that key goes back to the free version of Pleno the next time its editor checks in, which is at most a day later. For Team and Agency licences, that is everyone the key was shared with.

Nothing on your machine is deleted. Captures you have already exported are ordinary files and stay exactly where you saved them.

5. Chargebacks

If something is wrong with a charge, please ask us first. It is quicker for you, and the refund above is yours for the asking. A payment disputed with your bank ends the licence in the same way; if the dispute is later decided in our favour, the licence starts working again.

6. Mac App Store purchases

Apple sells Pleno on the Mac App Store, so refunds for those purchases go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple’s policies. We cannot issue them ourselves. A licence key made from an App Store purchase belongs to that purchase, and may stop working if Apple refunds it.

7. When a refund may be refused

Paddle and we may refuse a refund where there is evidence of fraud or abuse — buying and refunding repeatedly, for example, or a key that has been published.
